From the InsideThe right words & the right marketing mean more participants get the support they need.
A copywriter and marketer who lives with disability every single day? Hard to find yet here I am.
I work exclusively with disability providers… and I always will.
How we got hereI can’t even count how many providers we’ve been through or how much funding was wasted on the wrong ones. You and I both know that sometimes it’s just not the right fit.
I’d google, I’d get in the Facebook groups, and I’d ask around for recommendations. Then I’d go to their website (if they had one) or their socials and look for signs that maybe this was the right one for us. Most of the time, their marketing was lacking so much that I still wasn’t filled with much certainty. Their websites were missing key information, were hard to make sense of, and felt clunky and difficult to navigate. Their branding was doing nothing to communicate professionalism and I’d be left feeling like this guy —→😬. It seemed like the only way to know was to give them a try, use the funding, and hope for the best.
As a marketing guru and copywriter, I kept thinking that if their marketing was better, we’d both benefit. I’d be better able to tell if a provider was likely to be what we needed, and they’d be better at attracting the types of clients they want. Both of us needed some sort of matchmaker and because I was a marketer, copywriter, and mum who spends every minute raising a child with disabilities, I knew it had to be me.
Business shouldn’t just be about accepting anyone who’s willing to hire you. You know who your ideal clients are and in this space, they really need to be able to find you. If they don’t, lives are negatively affected, funding is wasted, and neither of us get what we need.
Many other marketers live by the same sets of rules and strategies, but in the disability space, a lot of those ‘rules’ don’t apply. In this sector, “if you know you know” is one of the greatest and most unique strengths your marketing mentor can have.
This kind of insider knowledge can’t be taught, it has to be lived.

MENTORING & CONSULTING
Strategic thinking from an industry insider.
Being great at your job is important, but it won’t mean much if your business isn’t getting the right people through the door. If you need a great marketing strategist, sales guru, and all-round business head who lives and breathes this industry, you’ve come to the right place.
"I tried everything. Memberships, podcasts, business coaching, but nothing worked because the disability space is so niched. When I found Jo I knew instantly she could help. The first copy she wrote brought tears to my eyes. She knows my business intimately and I would recommend her for anyone in the disability space who needs help marketing more confidently, especially in a post-NDIS world."

- Every teacher I ever had
Yeah, that was me. Smart, social, creative, quick with a witty retort but barely able to keep track of my own hands. While I’ve certainly grown and matured since those days, the ADHD is very much alive and well.
Back then, when I had no idea I even had ADHD, I tried fighting against my ‘quirks’ because that’s what I was told to do. Now? I’ve learned to manage the tricky ones and embrace the ways my neurodivergence actually helps me. When it’s something I’m passionate about, my focus is incredible. When there are problems to be solved, I’m cooking up solutions that are straight outside the box. When I’m advocating for my family, stand back and hold my earrings. My passion for the disability space stems not just from my experiences as a mother, but also the experiences of my life.
